ABOUT TRISTAN

A warm, strengths-based approach to meaningful change

Hi, I’m Tristan, the Principal Psychologist at Reimagine Psychology Melbourne. I have over 9 years of experience supporting adults and children with a range of mental health concerns, including four years specialising in working with neurodiverse children and adults, particularly people with ADHD and Autism.

I have a particular interest in working with people with ADHD, informed by both my professional experience and my own lived experience of ADHD. I aim to create a warm, supportive and conversational space where we can work together towards your goals and develop healthier strategies for a more balanced and fulfilling life.

I use a strengths-based and empathetic approach to therapy, drawing on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic approaches. At the centre of my work is building trust and connection, rather than relying on any one particular psychological intervention.

My background and beliefs

Having spent my earlier years in Southeast Asia, I understand how culture, ethnicity and mental health stigma can shape a person’s experience. I aim to provide culturally and ethnically sensitive support while helping clients better understand the factors that may be contributing to their distress.

I believe therapy is not only about reducing symptoms, but also about recognising your strengths, understanding yourself more deeply and working towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Therapy is available in English and Mandarin.
