ABOUT MARIA

A warm, inclusive approach for every stage of life

Hi, I’m Maria, a Registered Psychologist at Reimagine Psychology Melbourne with a background in educational and developmental psychology. I have experience working with people across the lifespan and understand that different stages of life can bring different challenges and support needs.

I aim to create a warm, collaborative and accepting therapeutic space that values your strengths, experiences and individual needs. I also bring experience from different roles within the education sector, giving me an understanding of the care, resources and approaches that can support learners’ wellbeing.

My practice is neuro-affirming and trauma-informed, drawing on approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills, mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing. Where helpful, I also value working collaboratively with your support network to support your wellbeing.

My background and beliefs

I spent my formative years between two cultures and have personal experience navigating the tensions that can arise around identity, values and goals when living between different cultural spaces.

I believe each person’s experience and needs deserve to be understood in their own context. Together, we can create a space to better understand your hopes and needs and work towards an approach that feels both empowering and accepting of who you are.
