Our Approach to Mental Wellbeing
Our goal is to address the stigma associated with mental health by connecting clients with evidence-based practice through plain language, compassion, and an emphasis on therapeutic relationships. We work as a multidisciplinary team for our clients in order to achieve long-term, measurable, and sustainable mental health outcomes. Our practice involves:

Making a Referral
Patients may be referred to a Psychologist under the Better Access Mental Health Care Plan in rounds of 6 and then 4 sessions. Under Better Access, eligible patients can receive Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual sessions with a Psychologist and up to 10 group sessions in a calendar year.
Until 30th June 2022, eligible patients can also access the Additional COVID Mental Health Care Plan if all 10 Better Access sessions have been used in a calendar year (if there are remaining sessions under the plan, these can be used in the following calendar year).
For patients whose mental health were adversely affected by a bushfire that occurred in the 2019-20 financial year they can receive an additional 10 Medicare rebates and are not required to have a diagnosed mental health condition, GP mental health treatment plan or referral prior to requesting these services. They may also self-identify as being affected by bushfire and request a service.
